Khroumire

The Kroumirie or Khroumirie is a mountain landscape of the Maghreb. It is named after a resident people and stretches from western Algeria to the Djebel Abiod in Tunisia. On its north side it meets the Mediterranean Sea, on the south by the valley of the Medjerda.

The Kroumirie is covered with vast cork oak forests, it is one of the wettest areas of North Africa with annual rainfall of 1000-1500 mm.
