Khuldabad is a small town in India, in the state of Maharashtra 26 km northwest of the city of Aurangabad located in the homonymous district, with 12,794 inhabitants ( 2001 census). The place was formerly known under the name Rauza. In the 14th century lived and worked here several Sufi saints, whose tombs are ( dargahs ) to the present target of Muslim pilgrims. In addition, located in Khuldabad the tombs of other important Indian personalities, including by Mughal emperor Aurangzeb and Malik Ambar, First Minister of the rulers of Ahmadnagar.
