Khulo

Chulo (Georgian ხულო ) is a small town in Georgia in the Autonomous Republic of Adjara. It is the administrative center of the municipality of the same name. The city is located in Adschariszqali Valley. Chulo is 88 km from the city of Batumi. Chulo has 1142 inhabitants ( 2002).

Earlier the name of the city " Chula " was ( ხულა ), which means a small department store in Georgian. This name is associated with the trade routes that were here in the Middle Ages.
