Khun Han District

Amphoe Khun Han ( Thai อำเภอ ขุนหาญ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the south of the province of Si Saket. The Si Saket province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

Geography

Amphoe Khun Han borders the following districts (from west clockwise): Amphoe Phu to the Sing, Khukhan, Phrai Bueng, Si Rattana and Kantharalak in the province of Sisaket. To the south, the province of Oddar Meanchey is located in Cambodia.

History

In 1958, the small district ( King Amphoe ) Khun Han was (at the time posted ขุน หาร ) promoted to a Amphoe.

Management

Amphoe Khun Han is divided into 12 communes ( tambon), which in turn in 145 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

There is a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

• Khun Han ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ขุนหาญ ), consisting of parts of the tambon Si and Non Sung
• Si ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล สิ ), consisting of other parts of the tambon Si,
• Krawan ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล กระ ห วัน ), consisting of parts of the tambon Krawan,
• Non Sung ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล โนนสูง ), consisting of parts of the tambon Non Sung
• Kanthrom ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล กัน ทรอ ม ), consisting of parts of the tambon Kanthrom,
• Krasang Pho ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล โพธิ์ กระ สังข์ ), consisting of parts of the Tambon Pho Krasang.

In addition, there are seven " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
