The River Kwai ( Thai: แม่น้ำ แคว น้อย Maenam Kwai, "Little Creek " ) is a river in Thailand's Kanchanaburi province.
The Kwai River is fed from the reservoir Khao Laem district ( Amphoe ) Sangkhlaburi near the border with Burma. The reservoir is completely protected by the National Park Khao Laem. A little further downstream of the Kwai River flows through the National Park Sai Yok.
After 150 km course in a southeasterly direction he unites near the provincial capital of Kanchanaburi with the Khwae Yai to Mae Klong.
For tourists, a ride along the old railway line of the " Death Railway " is offered, which leads to a great extent along the Kwae Noi. The ride starts every weekend in Bangkok to Hua Lamphong Train Station.
