Kia Ray

The Kia Ray EV is an electrically -powered minivan from Kia. The Kia Ray 2012 was sold for the first time; it was produced a limited edition of 2,500 vehicles. Externally, corresponding to the nearly square-shaped small car largely the Kia Ray with 1,000 cc petrol engine which came in November 2011 in Korea on the market. Both variants are produced on the same assembly line and until further notice only available in Korea. The global launch is expected in 2014.

Performance

Equipment

Kia Ray EV comes standard with six airbags, an electronic stability program (similar to ESP), a navigation system that also displays the nearest fast charging stations in Korea and an artificial engine sound.

Like all electric vehicle also causes the Ray EV is virtually no engine noise and is therefore not as easily perceived by pedestrians. Therefore, Kia has its EV equipped with a system for the generation of an artificial sound, the tempo to 20 km / h is active.
