Kiana Firouz

Kiana Firouz (Persian کیانا فیروز; born 21 April 1983) is an Iranian filmmaker, actress and human rights activist.

In their homeland Firouz made ​​a documentary about human rights violations against lesbians. Since the Iranian security forces discovered their activities, she was forced to flee to the UK and there to apply for political asylum, which was finally granted her after much wrangling with the support of human rights organizations such as Amnesty International.

Her story was in 2010 in the UK by the Ramin Goudarzi Nejad Iranian exiles and Mahshad Torkan under the title Cul -de -Sac (German dead end) filmed with her self as the lead actress.
