Kid Koala

Kid Koala (* 1975 in Vancouver as Eric San ) is a Canadian DJ and turntablist and lives in Montréal. San is a qualified primary school teacher. He is the British label Ninja Tune under contract, is touring with the band Bullfrog and is a member of Deltron 3030, Gorillaz, and Lovage.

It is known Kid Koala especially for his unusual style and his wide-ranging collection of samples, ranging from Niesgeräuschen about jazz records from the 1930s to Monty Python songs, scores and excerpts from comedy shows. He has released four albums: Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Some of my Best Friends are DJs, Your Mom 's Favourite DJ and 12-bit blues. In addition, a comic called Nufonia Must Fall 2003 (plus soundtrack ) published by him, which deals with a love story between a secretary and an unemployed robot.
