Kieler Nachrichten

The Kieler Nachrichten (CN ) are the only published in the Schleswig-Holstein state capital Kiel newspaper. Debuted it is from Kiel newspaper publishing and printing KG GmbH & Co. Together with its regional editions ( Eckernförder news, newspaper Holstein, Kiel locally, Ostholsteiner newspaper, Segeberger newspaper ) it achieves a paid circulation of 97 427 copies.

History

The first edition was published in CN on April 3, 1946, first as CDU License newspaper. Later, the paper presented in the tradition which was founded in 1864 in Kiel and the Kiel Latest News newspaper, which had been founded in 1894.

By February 2009, the Axel Springer AG held 24.5 percent stake in the publishing company. The Axel Springer AG sold its stake in the Madsack in Hanover. The SPD is about their media holding German printing and publishing company ( DDVG; own notation: DDVG ) holds a 20.4 percent stake in the media Madsack; a political realignment in further CDU -affiliated, conservative journal but was not involved. However, the CN WAD bag integrated in the Group's own strategy of introducing nationwide Paywalls for those regional newspapers that belong to the publishing group. As a result, many content was hidden behind a paywall and offered appropriate online subscriptions. According to this Madsack only be available to paying customers "exclusive" content, with editorial offices, free hand is left so far in assessing whether a content now is " exclusive".
