KiEw (band)

KiEw is a German Rhythm 'n' noise music project from Lüneburg.

History

KiEw was founded in late 1990 by Andreas Thedens. After initial avant-garde Dada industrial sound experiments, the music continued to develop to rhythm 'n' noise. KiEw are locked in their own and often not very catchy sound influenced by techno and breakbeat. In December 1993, near Lüneburg KiEw had the live debut at the village hall Ochtmissen. Shortly before leaving Tassilo Schmitt, who could no longer identify with Kiev's music and objectives, and Thilo Eichenberg, who was taking part in the rehearsals, the band. Matthias Kulcke was in its place the new guitarist and Stephan " Thiemi " Thiemicke new bassist. Both were active at that time, together with Martin maltsters and Thorsten Krolow in the band Mohai. KiEw published in the first decade of numerous partly strictly limited MCs and CDRs before KiEw was taken in 2000 at Out Of Line under contract. In 2000, Thomas Bierenbach and Jan Michel Luckow left the band and KiEw remained a trio until 2010, where Martin Mälzer official fourth member was.
