Kiffis

Kiffis is a commune of 233 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Haut-Rhin in the Alsace region. It belongs to the district Altkirch, for Canton Ferrette and community association law Alsatian.

Geography

The community Kiffis situated in the Jura, in the extreme south of the Alsace region between the border river Luetzel and the blue mountain. The center, on a terrace overlooking the valley of La Petite is at about 565 meters above sea level.

Kiffis borders the Alsatian communities Lucelle, Ligsdorf, special village, Raedersdorf, Lutter and Wolschwiller and to the Swiss municipalities Huggerwald and Rye Castle.

Economy

Important branches of industry are agriculture and small businesses. In the eastern part of the municipality is the Saalhof, a large farm.
