The Kigali International Airport is an international airport at Kigali and the main airport of Rwanda. It serves as a transit airport for Goma and Bukavu in eastern Congo. The airport is located in the suburb of Kanombe, about 12 kilometers east of the center of Kigali.

In the year 2004 135.189 passengers were handled at the airport.

Flights

Kigali is the home airport of RwandAir, which flies from here national and African destinations. Moreover operate other African airlines. Connections to Europe are offered by Brussels Airlines to Brussels and KLM to Amsterdam.
