Kiiking

Kiiking is a relatively young Estonian sport. In the Estonian language means Kiik swing, accordingly, means rock kiiking.

The Kiiking finds its origin already several hundred years ago, in the typical swings, which, unlike in other countries, are increasingly used by several people standing. These swings are about 2.5 meters high and it always swings from 4 to 10 people together. Again and again tried the people who make these swings flashovers, but this was very dangerous without a backup.

In 1996 we developed the first Kiiking swing, without risk of injury were entirely with the rollovers possible. Ado Kosk patented in 1997 Telescopic Frame and Telescopic - shafts.

Today, there are Kiiking in 3 to 8 meters in height, mostly rocks one person alone. Secured Going through the tying of arms and legs.

The principle is simple: Man standing on the swing, in the middle, when the swing is vertical, the athlete goes into a crouch to gain momentum. Once tilts the swing, the athlete is on again.

This sport is very demanding, and mainly you train his legs, because by the circular motion that comes through the rollovers into being, one is forced into the swing into it.

As a measure of performance is considered the height of the swing, with at least one rollover has been made .
