Kilolo District

Kilolo is one of seven districts of the Iringa Region in central Tanzania. In the north east borders the Singida Region, to the north the Dodoma Region, to the west of Iringa district, south of the district Mufindi and in the southwest the Mbeya region.

The district consists of the following twelve districts ( Wards ):

  • Udekwa
  • Uhambingeto
  • Ukumbi
  • Ukwega

Children's Village

In Kilolo is since 2001 the Amani Children's Village, where orphans are housed and promoted academically and professionally. The operation of a hydroelectric power plant and a carpenter also serves the economic development of the region.
