Kim Hyo-sub

Kim Hyo -sub (born 23 September 1980 in Henan, People's Republic of China) is a South Korean wrestler. It was 2009 Asian champion in free style bantamweight and two -time Olympian.

Career

Kim Hyo -sub began as a teenager in 1992 with the rings. It belongs to the Samsung Wrestling Club Seoul and is or has been coached by Moon - chae Hu and Jang Soon- park. It focuses on the free -style wrestling and at a height of 1.50 meters in the flyweight and bantamweight.

His international career began with Ringer starts at the Junior World Championships 1998 in Las Vegas and 1999 in Sydney. He took it both times the 7th place in the weight class up to 49 kg or 50 kg body weight. From the year 2000 he starts with the seniors. This year, he finished 8th at the Asian Championship in Guilin / China flyweight. In the next years he participated in many international championships, but was unable to win medals at World Championships. In 2004, he won his first medal at an international championship in the Asian Championships in Tehran. He finished there behind Adcham Achilow from Uzbekistan and Naranbaatar Bayaraa from Mongolia to 3rd place. In 2006, he came at the Asian Games in Doha in turn to 3rd place. He won there first about Francisco Javier Sanchez Parra from Spain, but then lost to Namig Sewdimow from Azerbaijan on points (1:2 rounds, 2:4 points). Since Sewdimow not reached the final, Kim Hyo -sub could not continue to fight in the consolation round, but was eliminated, finishing in 9th place.
