Kim Hyung-il

Kim Hyung- il (born 27 April 1984) is a South Korean football player.

Career

Kim Hyung- il began his professional career at Daejeon Citizen, where he moved in with his team in the play-off games and finished second in the election for Newcomer of the Year. In summer 2008, he moved to the Pohang Steelers. In his first season with the Steelers, he was able to establish the same in the root formation and celebrate the cup win at the end of the season. The following year, he reached with his team winning the AFC Champions League and the third place at the FIFA Club World Cup. In the AFC Champions League final in Tokyo Kim scored with a header 2-1 winner against the Saudi Arabian club Al Ittihad.

Having already played in June 2009 in an unofficial friendly match against Oman in the national team of South Korea, he came in the penultimate qualifier for the FIFA World Cup 2010 on June 10, 2009 against Saudi Arabia on his first official international match. In summer 2010, he participated in the World Cup in South Africa.
