Kim Raver

Kimberly " Kim " Jayne Raver ( born March 15, 1969 in New York City ) is an American actress.

Life and career

Born and raised in New York City Raver. At the age of six to nine years, she had a recurring role on Sesame Street. She later graduated in Fine Arts at Boston University. Then she started with the study of theater spectacle with her teacher and mentor Wynn Handman in New York.

Early in her career earned Raver their livelihood with commercials. Her breakthrough came with the Broadway play Holiday, in which she appeared with Laura Linney and Tony Goldwyn.

Raver had guest appearances in the television series Practice - Lawyers, Spin City, ER - The ER and Law & Order. Her acting breakthrough came with the role of lone paramedic Kim Zambrano on the Jerry Bruckheimer series Third Watch - use the limit. In the movie City Hall, she starred alongside Al Pacino. In the film Martin & Orloff, she played along with Janeane Garofalo and Andy Richter. In the years 2008 to 2009 she played the role of Nico Reilly, editor in chief of a fashion magazine in the television series Lipstick Jungle. From November 2009 to May 2012 played the role of doctor, Dr. Teddy Altman on Grey's Anatomy.

Personal

In July 2000, Raver Manuel Boyer married. Together with their two sons, who were born in 2002 and 2007, they live in New York. Raver has a German mother and is fluent in French and German.
