Kinako
Kinako (Japaneseきな粉), a soybean flour, is a widely used product in Japanese cuisine.
Production and content
To produce the pale yellow soybean flour, soybeans are toasted, hulled and milled. Its flavor is commonly compared to that of peanut butter. Kinako is most commonly used as a spice for sweet dishes, such as mochi. It is stirred into milk or soy milk, also enjoyed as a drink.
