Kincardineshire

Kincardineshire is one of the traditional counties of Scotland, located on the North Sea south of Aberdeen. It is named after the defunct medieval town of Kincardine. The historical capital is Stonehaven.

As the administrative county was Kincardineshire 1890-1975 and then went on in the District of Kincardine and Deeside Grampian region. The Grampian region was disbanded in 1996; since the area belongs to the unitary authority of Kincardineshire Aberdeenshire. Kincardineshire is still one of the Lieutenancy Areas of Scotland.
