Related Products

Both are together with children Happy Hippo, Kinder Pingui, children Schokobons, children Milchschnitte, Kinder Country, Kinder Bueno, Kinder Joy, Kinder Surprise and Kinder Maxi King part of a series of products of Ferrero, who were labeled as "children".

Criticism

The company advertises their product as specially developed for children chocolate, which contains a lot of milk and is easy to portion for parents, because each bar is individually wrapped. In fact, it is the milk content just to milk powder, and the fat content is higher than in ordinary milk chocolate. In addition, Ferrero accused in his production to use cocoa ( even in children's product line ), which is suspected to be gained by child labor. Ferrero points out in comments on his " commitment against abusive child labor " toward, but not denied the allegations.

The face on the packaging

The boy, whose image was to see the world from 1973 to packages of chocolate, called Günter Euringer. The image has been retouched several times, to meet the changing fashions needs. Among other things, the hair Euringer were changed several times, some cosmetic touch-ups done, and in the final version ears have been added that were not yet visible in the 1970s due to the long head of hair. Who are these ears, is not known. According to his own statements Euringer received 300 DM as time fee. 2005 Euringer's face was replaced on the packaging by a different, modern acting child's face, as the old image would no longer reflect the spirit of the producer's judgment, despite the post-processing. This packaging design change came not only on consent. Later there was a special edition with the "old " face.
