Kindia

Region

Kindia is a city in Guinea, at the foot of Gangan Mountains.

It is the capital of the prefecture in the region Kindia Kindia and is located at the junction of National Road 24 1 of the National Road

Kindia since the colonial period, the center of the Guinean banana cultivation, the town is an important trading center for agricultural products.

In the kēme Bourema barracks near the city center are the general staff of the army, the administration of the military zone Kindia and the officers' school for all branches of the armed forces.

Just outside the town (7 km) is the Guinean Pasteur Institute, which manufactures vaccines and a snake farm operates.
