King Fahd's Fountain is up to 312 meters of the currently highest artificial fountain in the world. It is located in Jeddah in Saudi Arabia. It was built between 1980 and 1983 and commissioned in 1985 in honor of King Fahd in operation. Model was the Jet d' eau in Geneva.

The use of salt water makes high demands on the construction, since corrosion, abrasion, mud, sand and the settlement of marine life can impair function.

The fountain is powered by two pumps which are connected by a 350 meter long, tapered tube with the nozzle. The exit speed is 375 km / h with a discharge amount of 625 liters per second. The nozzle has a diameter of 126 mm. The water present in the air has a weight of 18 tons. The fountain is illuminated at night with 500 headlights, reaching a capacity of more than 9000 kW.
