King Mob

King Mob was a radical actionistic London artist group.

The British section of the Situationist International was expelled in 1967 because of its links with New York artist anarchist group Up Against The Wall Motherfuckers, its members founded King Mob. The name is derived from the slogan of His Majesty King Mob, which at the Gordon Riots, a Protestant revolt against the equal rights of Catholics was lubricated end of the 18th century on the walls of London's Newgate Prison from interested parties. The name is "King Mob " to translate, and suppresses the anti-statist and anarchist tendencies of the group.

In one of her actions gave away a man dressed as Santa Claus King bullies in a London department store toys to children. The then summoned police had to remove the children of the goods again, who watched in disbelief in how Santa Claus was arrested.

King Mob is also a major player in Grant Morrison's comic The Invisibles.
