King Tai of Zhou

Zhou Tai Wang (周 太 王) is the posthumous name of Ji Dan Fu (姬 亶 父). He is the ancestor of the Zhou Dynasty and is in eleventh generation direct descendant of Huangdi back, the legendary " Yellow Emperor " and the first great ruler of China.

Ji Dan Fu (姬 亶 父) had three sons:

  • Ji Tai Bo (姬 太 伯, later name: Wu Tai Bo,吴太伯) - the founder of the kingdom of Wu (吴), and ancestor of the Wu family.
  • Ji Zhong Yong (姬 虞仲) and Ji Ji Li (姬 季 历). The son of Ji Ji Li (姬 季 历) was Ji Chang (姬昌). The son of Ji Chang (姬昌) was again Ji Fa (姬发) (? -1043 BC), which then officially the Zhou dynasty founded. The son of Ji Fa (姬发) was Zhou Zhang (周章). He was considered a very just king and had such great respect and reverence for the brother of his great- grandfather Wu Tai Bo (吴太伯) that he calls the " kingdom of Zhou " in the "Kingdom of Wu " renamed shortly after taking power - the " kingdom of heaven. " At that time the kingdom of Wu corresponds roughly to the present-day Shanxi province.
