Kinga people

The Wakinga or Kinga are a Bantu ethnic group in southern Tanzania. Historically, they live in the Livingstone Mountains north of Lake Malawi. In the literature, especially the Lwembe cult revered as a divine king ancestors Lwembe is described. 2003 included the Wakinga 140,000 people. By 1920 the number was estimated at 20,000 people.
