Kingman County is a county located in the state of Kansas in the United States. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Kingman.

Geography

The County is located in southern Kansas, is located about 40 miles from Oklahoma and has an area of ​​2245 square kilometers, of which nine square kilometers of water surface. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Reno County, Sedgwick County, Sumner County, Harper County, Barber County and Pratt County.

History

Kingman County was formed on March 7, 1872. It was named after Samuel A. Kingman, a presiding judge of the Supreme Court ( Supreme Court ) of Kansas.
