The Kings River (English for "King River " ) is a river in California. It rises in the Sierra Nevada from three source arms.

The South Fork Kings River rises in the Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks in the Upper Basin, a high valley below the mountain range of the Palisades and flows through Kings Canyon, which was eponymous for the National Park. The Middle Fork Kings River rises further north in the National Park, while the North Fork Kings River originates outside the National Park in the west adjacent John Muir Wilderness. The North Fork and its tributary Helms Creek are still piled up in the mountains. The Kings River is dammed immediately after the confluence of all source arms to Pine Flat Lake.

The river flowed originally in the Tulare Lake, which was drained and now serves as an agricultural area in California's Central Valley. Today, the Kings River is split between Hanford and Fresno in several artificial arms and used its water to irrigate the fields. Only a few seasons to get small amounts of water in the former lake basin, where it percolate. The total length of the longest Quellarm to the Tulare Lake Bed is about 200 kilometers.
