Kingsbury tube station

Kingsbury is an aboveground station London Underground in the London Borough of Brent. It is located in the Travelcard Zone 4 on the Kingsbury Road. In 2011, 3.44 million passengers used the area served by the Jubilee Line station.

The station was opened on December 10, 1932 by the Metropolitan Railway ( predecessor company of the Metropolitan Line) and formed part of the new, electrified from the outset branch line to Stanmore. After the integration of the Metropolitan Railway into the net of the London Underground in the following year it was decided to transfer the operation towards Stanmore on the Bakerloo Line, which happened on 20 November 1939. The Bakerloo Line, in turn, was replaced on 1 May 1979, the newly opened Jubilee Line.
