Kintampo (Ghana)

Kintampo is a town in the Brong- Ahafo Region in the West African nation of Ghana. Kintampo was the capital of the former Kintampo District and is today the capital of the new 2004 split Kintampo North district.

Kintampo has become known as the excavation site of an ancient West African culture, the Kintampo culture.

Kintampo is home to a campus of the University for Development Studies at the Faculty of Agriculture.

In Kintampo the Ghana Commercial Bank Ltd. a branch opened just as the Kintampo Rural Bank.
