Kintarō

Kintaro (Japanese金太郎) is a Japanese Sage (昔 话, Mukashibanashi ), a fairy (童话, Dowa ) over a pet friendly boy with supernatural powers, who was raised by a Yamamba on the mountain Ashigara. Out of it was according to legend as an adult Sakata Kintoki (坂 田 金 时), which was in the service of Minamoto no Yorimitsu (源 頼 光). His story is a popular motif of the Kabuki and Noh theater. On Children's Day, it is customary to set up a doll of him with the desire and the hope that the children are just as Kintaro: brave, strong and sincere.

Agreement among all the legends about that Kintaro was born in May 956, and he vigorously, chubby and only with a red skirt on the Kin (金, gold ) stood, and was clothed with a huge double ax on his back. Kintaro had a nice carefree youth, which he spent to make friends with the forest animals and to resolve fights with you or with Japanese mythical creatures such Onis and Tengu.
