Kip Brennan

Kip Brennan ( born August 27, 1980 in Kingston, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is under contract with HK Saryarka Karaganda in the Wysschaja Hockey League since November 2013.

Career

Kip Brennan began his career as a hockey player in the Canadian Junior Football League Ontario Hockey League, where he was active for the Windsor Spitfires and Sudbury Wolves 1996-2001. During this period he was also selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1998 in the fourth round as a total of 103 players from the Los Angeles Kings. For the farm team of the Kings, the Lowell Lock Monsters of the American Hockey League, he was in the 2000 /01 season in parallel with his debut in the senior pro ice hockey. In the following three years, the winger played in parallel for the Los Angeles Kings in the National Hockey League and their new farm team in the AHL Manchester Monarchs.

On 9 March 2004 Brennan was released to the Atlanta Thrashers in exchange for Jeff Cowan. For this he was standing by the end of the 2003/04 season in five NHL games on the ice. During the NHL lockout he spent the 2004/05 season in Atlanta's farm team Chicago Wolves in the AHL. After resumption of the NHL game operation he was transferred in August 2005 for Mark Popovic to the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim. For Californians, however, he could not prevail and only played twelve games throughout the NHL season for the Mighty Ducks, and nine for their AHL farm team Portland Pirates. The 2006/07 season began the Canadians in the Toronto Marlies in the AHL and played the rest of the season for their league rivals Hershey Bears, as well as the Long Beach Ice Dogs in the ECHL.

On July 3, 2007 Brennan signed a contract as a free agent with the New York Islanders. These put him prevail in their AHL farm team Bridgeport Sound Tigers, while he himself completed another three NHL games for New York. For the 2008/09 season Brannen moved to Europe, where he was obliged by HIFK Helsinki of the Finnish SM- liiga. After three assists in 22 games for the capital club, he returned to his former AHL team from Hershey, with whom he won the Calder Cup at the end of the season. He also played three times for their cooperation partners South Carolina Stingrays of the ECHL. The season 2009/10, graduated from the links Sagittarius at the Springfield Falcons in the AHL.

The 2010/11 season began Brennan at the Allen Americans in the Central Hockey League. For his new team, he scored in 31 games 21 points scorer, eight gates, which was a new personal record of his professional career for him. End of February 2011, he was loaned to his former club Chicago Wolves of the AHL, but returned for the playoffs to the CHL Allen Americans.

Mid-August 2011 Brennan was taken from Vityaz Chekhov of the Kontinental Hockey League contract.
