Kirby Law

Kirby Law ( born February 11, 1977 in McReary, Manitoba ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who played for HC Ambri -Piotta in the Swiss National League A.

Career

Kirby Law learned to deal with Puck and bat in his hometown at the McReary Big Macs, with 15 years he played for the Dauphin Kings of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League in. His junior career, he took off in 1993 in the Western Hockey League with the Saskatoon Blades on. Two years later he moved within the League to the Lethbridge Hurricanes, where he played for three years. Beginning September 1997 traded it the Hurricanes vs. Jason Boyd of the Brandon Wheat Kings, but after a year he signed a contract as a free agent with the Orlando Solar Bears of the International Hockey League, as he despite good performances in the WHL not NHL Entry Draft was considered.

At the start of the following season, the Atlanta Thrashers committed him and put him in their farm team, the Louisville Panthers, in the American Hockey League. In a swap deal with the Philadelphia Flyers that were to go two draft picks to Atlanta in return, Kirby Law became the farm team of the Flyers, Philadelphia Phantoms sent to.

In the following years he played primarily with the Phantoms, but came to a total of nine NHL games. In the summer of 2004, he was finally obliged by the Minnesota Wild as a free agent, but he also played in the organization of the wild exclusively on their farm team, the Houston Aeros. In the 2005/06 season he was top scorer in the AHL with 110 points ( 43 goals, 67 assists) chosen and consequently the AHL All- Star team.

Since he did not get a regular place in the NHL squad of wild despite his good performances in the AHL, Law moved to the beginning of the 2006/07 season the Swiss NLA representative HC Servette Genève and signed a two-year contract. Since Servette was eliminated in the first round of the NLA Playoffs, he joined together with Serge Aubin loan in the NLB to support the EHC Biel in the playoff finals and eventual relegation matches.

After he started the 2008/09 season at Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk in the Kontinental Hockey League, he was bound by the Fribourg- Gottéron in October 2008 and signed a contract until the end of the season. After the end of the contract, he moved to HC Ambri -Piotta.
