Kirchbichl is a municipality with 5359 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the district of Kufstein, Tyrol ( Austria ). The municipality is located in the judicial district of Kufstein.

Geographical Location

Kirchbichl is located in the lower Inn valley near Wörgl. Districts are place Oberndorf, Bichlwang, Kastengstatt, angle home as well as soil and Bruckhäusl at the mouth of the Brixen Valley in the Inn Valley.

History

The Grattenbergl where the largest settlement in North Tyrol was in the Hallstatt period was among other things a showplace of the Tyrolean struggle for freedom against the Bavarian and French troops. Kastengstatt was known for working iron from the smelting plant in Jenbach. The hamlet was also stack space and shipbuilding Square Inn Shipping.

The municipality has joined the Climate Alliance Tirol 1999.

Economy and infrastructure

Resident companies include:

  • The Mainz spice mill Moguntia produced since 2001 in Kirchbichl.
  • Kirchbichl has since the closure of a full production cement industry in the form of a cement grinding and shipping facility, which operates the company Schretter & Cie, Portland cement and lime works with headquarters in Vils. The semifinished product Portland cement clinker is delivered from Vils by train ( Vils to Garmisch with the Außerfernbahn ).
  • The Moorstrandbad has an area of about one hectare and a maximum depth of about three meters.

Kirchbichl lies at the Tiroler Straße B171 Kufstein - Wörgl - Innsbruck - Landeck and the Lofer road B 178 Kirchbichl - St. Johann in Tirol - Lofer, in the Inn Valley motorway A 12 (exits Kirchbichl and Wörgl- Ost) and two railway lines: the Unterinntalbahn ( Kufstein - Wörgl - Innsbruck ) and the Giselabahn (Salzburg - Bischofshofen - Zell am See - Kitzbühel - Bruckhäusl - Wörgl, a leg of the Austrian Western Railway Vienna - Linz - Salzburg - Bischofshofen - Wörgl - Innsbruck - Feldkirch - Bregenz). Both railway lines meet together in the neighboring Central Station Wörgl.

The Kirchbichl station is located on the Lower Inn Valley Railway, the station " Wörgl West - Bruckhäusl " at the Giselabahn; the latter is located within the city limits of neighboring community Wörgl, Tière in the district " Wörgl ground," the common field names " Bruckhäusl " carries along with the district " Kirchbichl ground." Both stations are remotely controlled from Wörgl Hauptbahnhof from; at both keep rapid transit trains of the Tyrolean S -Bahn ( line S1 in Kirchbichl station S6 in Wörgl West - Bruckhäusl ), regional and some Regionalexpreßzüge. Nearest Express train stop is the major railway station and railway junction Wörgl Hbf In Kirchbichl station located next three platform tracks for passenger and freight loading extensive, especially for the above clinker; weekdays end and start there several freight trains.
