Geography
The community lies on the edge of the fowler, right in the forested mountains. Kirchbrak lies on the River Lenne.
Neighboring communities
The community Kirchbrak bordered to the north hall, on the east by Dielmissen, Lüerdissen and the city Eschershausen, to the south Holenberg and Golmbach and in the west on the town of Werder floor.

Kirchbrak consists of the five districts Kirchbrak, Westerbrak, Osterbrak, Breitenkamp and Heinrichshagen.
History
In a certificate of ownership for the Martini pin Minden, the Conrad II in 1029 exhibited, the "villa Bracha " is listed.
1994 lived 1,262 citizens in the community.
Incorporations
On 1 January 1973, communities Breitenkamp, Henry Hagen and Westerbrak were incorporated.

- Manor Westerbrak: The Baroque garden of the needle seat of the von Grone dates from 1726 and is a listed building. It is open to the public.
