Kircher (crater)

Kircher is an impact crater in the extreme southwest of the lunar front side, south of the crater Bettinus and northwest of Klaproth. The rim is moderately eroded, the interior largely flat.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the German Jesuit polymath Athanasius Kircher.
