Kirchheim im Innkreis
Kirchheim im Innkreis is a municipality in Upper Austria in the district of Ried in the Innviertel with 704 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013). The municipality is located in the judicial district of Ried.
Geography
Kirchheim im Innkreis is located on 429 m altitude in Innviertel. The expansion is 4.9 kilometers from north to south, from west to east 5.4 km. The total area is 10.2 km ². 15.7 % of the area is forested, 74.5 % of the area is used for agriculture.
Through the municipal area the forest Zeller Ache flows ( Ah ).

Official Blazon: About three green mountain split of red and gold; right pole, three gold discs, left blue, erect, red bezungter lion.
The three mountain symbolizes the three surveys Kreuzberg, Kraxenberg and spring mountain and the agricultural environment of the community. The discs symbolize the three golden apples of Saint Nicholas, the patron saint of the parish. The lion was the heraldic animal of the Barons of Lützelburg, the former owner of the noble estate Ramerding.
The municipality colors are yellow, red and white and are derived from the colors of the coat of arms from.
History
The first mention of Kirchheim comes from the period 1110-1125, as Rapato of Münzkirchen a good name Chirichium the Passau cathedral dedicated. Since the establishment of the Duchy of Bavaria, the place was Bavarian until 1779 and came to the Peace of Teschen with the Innviertel (then Innbaiern ) to Austria. During the Napoleonic Wars shortly Bavarian, it belongs since 1814 finally returned to Austria above the Enns. After the annexation of Austria to the German Reich on 13 March 1938, the village belonged to the Upper Danube. After 1945 the restoration of Upper Austria.
Kirchheim im Innkreis was 2010 Cultural Village of Europe and simultaneously celebrated its 900 - year anniversary.

Culture and sights
Kirchheim im Innkreis is a member of the union charter of the villages. On 19 October 2000 the municipal council of the village of Kirchheim iI took the decision of the ' Foundation of cultural villages of Europe' (Eng. also Charter of villages) to join. This is Kirchheim I.I. as the first and only community Austria a member of this international organization, which has set itself the goal to advance the promotion of village life and rural development.
Natural Monuments
A 20m ³ large spruce stands in the forest area of spring hill. Due to their great appearance it is popularly known Waldmutter.

Kirchheim is located on the B141 ( Rieder Road ).
West of the town is the airfield Ried- Kirchheim.
Attersee - Through the municipal area of Kirchheim Roman Inn Cycle Path runs.
