Kirchlindachstrasse from south

Kirchlindachstrasse is a municipality in the Bern-Mittelland administrative district in the canton of Bern in Switzerland and consists of the villages and hamlets home house Herrenschwanden, Jetzikofen, Kirchlindachstrasse, Oberlindach and Niederlindach.

Geography

The municipality is located north of the River Aare and the city of Bern. The neighboring communities in the north clockwise are starting Schüpfen, Diemerswil, Münchenbuchsee, Zollikofen, Bremgarten in Bern, Bern, Wohlen and Meikirch. History

The Aare river was the boundary between two empires, Burgundy and Alemannia in the Early Middle Ages. With the founding of the city of Bern in 1191, the current community field has long been connected only by a ferry. Later, when the city was powerful, it was decided to build a bridge.
