Geography

Geographical location

The community Kirchroth lies in the region Donau-Wald, between Regensburg and Deggendorf, in the Bavarian Forest Nature Park. The outlets of the Bavarian Forest are located in the municipal area. It lies on the Tour de Baroque, a very popular bike path along the Danube.

History

Kirchroth was a Hofmark of the cathedral chapter of the Prince-Bishopric of Regensburg and part of the Bishopric of Regensburg scoring imperial rule Wörth. 1803 fell this with the high pin as the Principality of Regensburg on the Reichserzkanzler von Dalberg, and came in 1810 to Bavaria. Coat of arms
