Kirchtimke
Kirchtimke is a municipality in the district of Rotenburg in Tarmstedt (Wümme ) in the northwestern Lower Saxony.

Geography
Kirchtimke lies in the natural area Stader Geest. Southeast of Kirchtimke is the forest area " Schierk ". Slightly southeast of Ostertimke lies the nature reserve " Bullensee ". The community is mostly dominated by agricultural land.
Community structure
To the municipality next to the village Kirchtimke also includes the hamlet of Ostertimke.
History
The church was first mentioned in documents in 1148. The village was formerly called " Tymbeke ".
A first church was probably built in the 12th century, after which the Romanesque font point (around 1200) and the valuable carved Early Gothic crucifix ( 1280 ). In the church renovation in 1962, the relics found in ancient crucifix, wrapped in cloth and labeled with the name of Saint-Lambert and Pancras, this sand from the Holy Land. Since then transmits the Lutheran. Church the nickname of Lambert. The St. Lambertus church was rebuilt in 1739 after the old church had become too small for the increasing degree of the parish. In 1884 and the bell tower was rebuilt and canceled the old round stone tower.

The coat of arms of the municipality Kirchtimke shows at the bottom of the Kirchtimker church with old round tower in gold on a blue background ( for Kirchtimke ). The coat of arms is divided by a transverse golden wave band. At the top of the coat of arms shows the sun rising in the east ( for Ostertimke ).

The municipality is located on the regional road 133 from Lilienthal Tarmstedt to Zeven. Bus number 630 of evb connecting Bremen with Zeven, runs through the municipality. The municipality is located in the traffic group Bremen / Lower Saxony.
