Kirill Knyazev

Kirill Knyazev Leonidovich (Russian Кирилл Леонидович Князев; born June 9, 1983 in Izhevsk, Russian SFSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who is under contract with HK Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk in the Kontinental Hockey League since May 2013.

Career

Kirill Knyazev gained his first experience in the sport of ice hockey with his hometown club Ischstal Izhevsk and went through there the youth department. In the season 2002/ 03 he completed his first missions for Ischstal Izhevsk in the Wysschaja League, the second highest Russian league. In his first season the striker get a yield of 27 scorer points from 52 matches and finished second in the team 's internal ranking the second place. In the following two seasons was the Russian one of the key players and the team reached the playoffs twice in which Ischstal Izhevsk failed each in the first round. Knyazev, who was awarded a contract with Salavat Yulaev Ufa of the season 2005/ 06, was first used in the second team with gaming operations in the third-class Perwaja league. In the same season, the attacker completed ten games for Salavat Yulaev Ufa in the Russian Super League and played 24 games for the HK Junost Minsk of the Belarusian Extraliga, where Knyazev scored 18 points for Minsk.

In the 2006/07 season, the striker was in Toros Neftekamsk in Wysschaja league on the ice. In 55 games of the regular season, the Russian scored 28 goals and 17 assists. Toros Neftekamsk failed to reach the finals and after end of the season Knyazev decided to leave the club. For the season 2007/ 08 he accepted an offer by the HK Spartak Moscow. After he had already attained in his debut season regular appearances in the Russian Super League, he succeeded in the aftermath his points to significantly increase yield. In his second season with the HK Spartak Moscow in the Kontinental Hockey League, the season 2009 /10 he held together with Branko Radivojevic the office of the assistant captain. After he was also run in the 2010/11 season for Spartak Moscow, the Russians signed in May 2011 a two -year contract with Ak Bars Kazan. Already in November 2011, he moved but within the KHL to Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk.

In the 2012/13 season he was at HK Dynamo Moscow under contract and won with this in April 2013 the Gagarin Cup, the championship trophy of the KHL. He was then obliged by HK Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk.

Internationally

Knyazev was for the Russian national team only in the context of the Euro Hockey Tour 2010/11 are used. In the three games of the Karjala Cup, he remained no points and was awarded four penalty minutes.
