Kirk Cameron

Kirk Thomas Cameron ( born October 12, 1970 in Panorama City, California) is an American actor.

Life

His parents named him after James Kirk from the Star Trek series Star Trek. His family is Swiss descent. Kirk is the brother of actress Candace Cameron, known from the series Full House.

Kirk Cameron is best known for the series Growing Pains, in which he played Mike Seaver from 1985 to 1992. For this role he received three times the Young Artist Award and was twice nominated for a Golden Globe. From 1995 to 1997, he also played the title role in the comedy series Kirk.

Since the age of 17 Cameron called a born-again Christian. He has his own Christian Evangelical TV show The Way of the Master, which he hosted along with Ray Comfort.
