Kirk Stevens

Kirk Stevens ( born August 17, 1958) is a former professional snooker player from Canada.

Stevens played at the age of 12 years, his first CenturyBreak and with 20 years professional. Only a year later, the collection he became the youngest player to go into the semi-finals of the World Snooker Championship.

The Team Canada, he pulled out a victory (1982 ) and three second-place finishes (1980, 1986 and 1987 ) in snooker World Cup. In 1984 he succeeded as part of the Masters Snooker the third official maximum break of snooker history in a match against Jimmy White. In 1985 he reached the final of the British Open but lost in the finals Silvino Francisco 9:12. Thereafter, accused him of South Africans taking amphetamines and finally confessed Stevens to be addicted to cocaine. He went while in treatment, but with his career, then went steeply down. So he was still out in the 1984/85 season in 4th place of the Snooker world rankings, but fell after the 1986/87 season already out of the top 16.

From the 1992/93 season he left the snooker main tour and played back in his native Canada. In the 1998/99 season, he qualified again for the main tour, but fell after only one year out.
