Kirsti Andersen

Kirsti Møller Andersen, they also released as Kirsti Pedersen ( born December 9, 1941 in Copenhagen ) is a Danish mathematics historian.

Life

Andersen is Assistant Professor (Associate Professor ) of History of Science at Aarhus University, where she first worked as an assistant since its candidate exam in 1967 and then a lecturer in the history of mathematics. It deals with the early history of analysis ( for example, Cavalieri and Roberval ) and history of perspective, among others, Leon Battista Alberti, Piero della Francesca, Albrecht Dürer, Leonardo da Vinci, Guidobaldo del Monte, Stevin, Willem Jacob ' s Gravensande, Desargues Johann Heinrich Lambert, Brook Taylor. She busied herself further, for example with Danish history of mathematics and advocated for the use of mathematics in high school history classes.

In 2005, she received her doctorate in Aarhus ( The Geometry of Art at The history of the mathematical theory of perspective from Alberti to Monge ).

She is married to Henk Bos.
