History

The club was founded in 1988 under the name Team Kiruna IF. It was created through the merger of Hockey departments of Kiruna AIF and IFK Kiruna. The team has already participated in its premiere season at the time still second-class Division 1, in which it has established itself in the subsequent period. In the 2002/03 season the team was relegated due to financial problems voluntarily from the new second division, the HockeyAllsvenskan, in the now third-rate from Division 1. In this the team has been active since then.
