Kiryat Ono
Kiryat Ono (Hebrew קִרְיַת אוֹנוֹ ) is a city in Israel, Tel Aviv District; it belongs to the metropolitan area of Gush Dan. The end of 2008 it had 28,700 inhabitants. The name comes from the biblical site of Ono ( 1 Chronicles 8:12; Nehemiah 6:2).
History
1939 Kfar Ono was founded. 1954 there is a reception center for new immigrants was built and merged the place with surrounding communities to Kiryat Ono. In 1992, Kiryat Ono city status.
