Girincs located 26 kilometers southeast of the county seat Miskolc on Tisza tributary Sajó. The municipality belongs to the small area Tiszaújváros, neighboring municipalities are Girincs and Kesznyéten. The nearest town Tiszaújváros located 9 km southeast of Kiscsécs.
