The Kisch Lake ( Latvian: Ķīšezers ) is a large lake north-east of the Latvian capital Riga.

Previous names were German Stintsee ezers on and on Latvian Ropažu. The lake water flowed originally Langa in the Gauja. In the 13th century, today's runoff into the Dvina by Cistercian monks was dug for the operation of a mill. The water level of the lake is usually lower than the sea level. In West wind and tide sometimes flowing salt water from the Gulf of Riga in the lake. The main tributary is the Jugla. The three islands of the lake are a total of 8 hectares. There are both flat and steep bank sections available.
