Kiso, Nagano (village)
Kiso -mura ( Japanese:木 祖 村) is a village in Kiso -gun in Nagano Prefecture on the main Japanese island of Honshu.
Geography
Kiso -mura is located in the north of Kisotals. The municipal area is the source of the Kiso. Covering an area of 140.46 km ² 3,315 people ( as of 1 January 2010). Adjacent municipalities are the district-free cities ( shi) Matsumoto and Shiojiri and the town ( machi ) Kiso -machi and the village of Asahi.
History
The settlements on the territory of today's Kiso -mura were incorporated on April 1, 1889 to present-day municipality. A planned participation in the local government reform, from which emerged Kiso -machi in 2005, was previously rejected in 2004 by popular vote.
Traffic
By Kiso -mura performs operated by JR Central West route of the Chūō Main Line. By Yabuhara station Kiso -mura is connected to the Japanese railway network. In addition, the National Highway 19 passes through Kiso- mura. Thus, both the rail and road traffic with direct links to Nagoya.

The community Kiso -mura operates a primary and a secondary school.
