Kiss of Death is the second solo album by rapper Jadakiss and so far his most commercially successful.

Music style

Kiss of Death is attributed to the East Coast Rap, however, has like many other albums of the time, also influences from other genres ( for example, soul music and R & B ) and corresponding features, such as Mariah Carey. The Topics are varied. To be found on the album classic Battle Raps as well as emotional and socially critical lyrics.

For most titles Guest Stars are represented. The best known are next Mariah Carey, Snoop Dogg, Eminem and Kanye West. The two D-Block members Sheek Louch and Styles P have even two performances.

Reviews and successes

Although most critics no marks for the album awarded (76% on metacritic.com ), the album debuted at # 1 on the Billboard album charts. Although there only lasted a week and none of the three singles, a similarly high placement reached ( Why reached # 11 on the Billboard Hot 100), the album is considered to be commercially successful underlining the Gold award
