The Kitt Peak ( Iolgam in the language of the Tohono O'odham ) is a 2097 m high mountain in Pima County in the U.S. state of Arizona. It serves as the location of the Kitt Peak National Observatory.
History
The mountain was given its English name by the surveyor George J. Roskruge, who noted it in his map of Pima County in 1893 under the name kits.
